About NAJA

The Native American Journalists Association is a non-profit organization empowering journalists through the provision of resources to Native and non-Native media.

NAJA represents over 350 members working in national and tribal media outlets, independent freelancers, associations, schools and other non-profit organizations through programs that promote diversity and defend challenges to free press, speech and expression.

NAJA is committed to increasing the representation of Native journalists in mainstream media. NAJA encourages both mainstream and tribal media to attain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and responsibility.
